Since graduating from high school in June 2009, I’ve decided to take a year off and search for employment. Over the last couple of years I’ve gained valuable experience, which you only can fine in certain individuals. Since 2007, every August, I’d volunteered with Absolute.org and went down to Mexico and built houses for families in need. As well we interacted we the community, arranging soccer camps, visiting mentally disabled children and farm workers who work for 80 cents a hour. Because of my experience in Mexico, I’m a community advocate for Absolute.org in Victoria. Also in the near future, Chek News will be interviewing me about experience in Mexico. Besides volunteering with Absolute.org, I’ve volunteered with Free the Children, World Vision, a after school program for the mentally disabled and participated in my school leadership program. As for work experience, for now I work for my mom at Broadmead Flowershop. I help take care of our family business, by making online orders, taking phone calls, clean the store and be a cashier. Right now I’m looking for full time job. I can work at anytime from 8 am to 12 am on everyday but Sunday. I believe that with my past experiences and my outgoing personality will make me a valuable employee.
