Just because two … Just because two things are related does not imply that one causes the other. I would guess that something that is already popular would have a lot of people buying it AND a lot of people stealing it. If nobody liked it, then they would do neither. That absolutely doesn’t mean that encouraging people to steal it will lead to bigger sales.
That is like saying that if Barnes & Noble would just keep their doors unlocked after closing, their daily sales would go up.

As a major part of his business is the selling of media, i hope he will seriously consider the viewpoint of many of his customers. Most media companies believe there are huge revenue losses from these activities, it is actually a form of free advertising. there is a strong correlation between the number of downloads of media, and sales of that media. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
